Recently Lost: Cormac Robinson
On October 15, 2025, in Carrollton, Georgia, the world lost 24-year-old Cormac Robinson—known by many of his friends online as Pixystix. A transmasculine artist, cosplayer, and budding hairstylist, Cormac’s life was cut short by a murder suicide and act of intimate partner violence. The circumstances remain unclear, but what is certain is the depth of loss felt by those who loved him.
Cormac grew up in St. Paul, North Carolina, and spent much of his youth navigating hardship and instability that shaped both his resilience and his empathy. As an adult, he built communities of care wherever he could—across states, friendships, and creative circles. Through each move and each new beginning, he sought connection and belonging, even when life made that difficult.
Cormac was magnetic. His signature pink and green hair made him instantly recognizable at anime conventions, where his creativity and laughter filled every space. He poured himself into digital art and dreamt of one day vending at cons, sharing his characters and ideas with the world. That joy—playful, proud, and defiantly bright—is what so many will remember.
Behind his light, though, was a story shaped by persistence. Experienced of violence, physical challenges, and the instability of housing and work were all pieces of what he endured. Yet he never stopped imagining something better—for himself and for others like him.
Cormac’s death is part of a devastatingly familiar pattern of violence that transmasculine people often face—too often rendered invisible in public discourse. Remembering him means refusing to let that invisibility continue.
He deserved safety. He deserved stability. He deserved to see his dreams take shape.
May we remember him not only for how he died, but for how fiercely he lived—punk, joyful, kind, and completely himself.
Rest in power, Cormac—Pixystix.
